A question that has baffled the best-educated minds of many generations, and the rest of us as well.
I doubt that there is a philosophical solution, but everyone seems to have his or her own. What’s yours?
Some might even say that Marilyn Manson is evil, but he is nothing more than a third-rate Alice Cooper copyist with a few mates in the Church of Satan and a boring marketing strategy.
We need to find a deeper answer. Michael Bertiaux, using the terms universe A and universe B for the worlds on either side of the "magical concept of the abyss", comments on evil:
"Evil does not exist in Universe A, and in Universe B it does not exist. However when there is a relationship between the two universes, there is a possibility of evil coming into the world, into Universe A.
That is why magicians who work along the lines of seeking contact with Universe B are sometimes in a situation where they convey the impression of being Black Magicians or dangerously evil..."
This theory is a great map to use in our reality. It does not only explains very good our line of work, but also gives us a chance to understand why almost any magus I’ve meet, has a wrong lover.
Microcosm – macrocosm weird ####!
Our self, when directed to the opposed and irresistible unknown creates an alchemical process known a long time ago as Rebis (the supreme marriage)
When you open your loving self to the object of your desire, you are creating a transmutation through the use of the same unholy unions we see each day when we get emotionally involved with the wrong people.
And its not a bad idea to keep in mind that a hundred percent of marriages end in divorce, disappearance or death…
